Once again, as a reminder, do not make any editing or corrections to this, do not point to me of any mistakes. I will not make corrections. I`m leaving this mostly as is of what it was when Tojo and I rped this out. We both have different rp styles so expect there to be some inconsistencies in things such as apostrophes and tenses.

'Dawww..is that any way to treat an old friend? You should be welcoming me with open arms!'

The way he spoke, the way he looked, was all suspicious; the tone on his face hinted he wasn't being so serious or sincere. He was an older individual, perhaps thirties - forties, a round man with a bald head, ridiculously long mustache, tiny spectacles, and a red-black jumpsuit.

"..As I said, what do you want.."

'Is that my dear long-lost sister?'

Looking towards Maria, he faked a concerned tone.

Maria looks very confused,"Sister?"

She exchanges looks between Shadow and Eggman,"I have a brother?"

Shadow didn't know the full story, just assuming they were cousins. "I'm not sur-.."

Suddenly, the egg-transport landed, and Eggman hopped out, striding over to the two. Shadow instinctively entered a combat pose, watching Robotnik carefully.

'Mmmm...'

Robotnik started to circle Maria, observing her very carefully; she could see him stroke his long red mustache, and see him more clearly now. Leaning down, he looked very closely to her face, staring through his blue spectacles.

'What's your name, little girl?'

Maria leans back a little, showing obviously that she is feeling VERY uncomfortable with this unknown, older man invading her 'personal space',"...Maria Robotnik..."

'Welllllll.. I thought I noticed a familiar face.'

Suddenly patting her once on the arm, lightly.

'Dearest sister, I am your dear brother..Dr. Ivo Robotnik, the greatest scientist who ever lived.'

Arrogantly stating this. Shadow let out a grunt at hearing this, looking back at him, but still said nothing.

Maria begins to relax as she believes his words,"My brother? Really?"

'Would I lie to you, dear Maria?'

Shadow chimed in. 'One of the few times he's telling the truth...'

'Though, I am curious as to..how you appear so very young.'

Robotnik finished, crossing his arms.

Maria begins to smile as she normally while she answers Eggman,"I was placed in a frozen state which it left me unaged. Shadow just revived me yesterday."

'Ohnhh? I never took you for being a miracle worker, Shadow my boy.'

Shadow appeared thoroughly annoyed. "..You do realize what she..and I have gone through.."

Tapping the side of his face, looking off. 'Enlighten me. Oh, and I'm sure you ran into my good friends..Bean and Bark. Sorry if they were..a little rough, but that's just what I was getting to.. you see, I need my chaos emeralds. Give me some, won't you?'

"...." Shadow looked at Eggman with a cold glare, then back to Maria. "..I'll give you one, if you leave us alone..-one-."

Eggman rose his right gloved hand. 'Oh and, wouldn't you like to come with me for a while, sister?'

Maria is finding this interaction between Eggman and Shadow to be odd. What is the tension between them? She swallows before giving another sweet smile and saying,"Well, I`ve already planned to spend today with Shadow."

'Aww..that's too bad. Well, better Shadow than that blue-runt..'

More than likely referring to Sonic. 'You didn't tell her of all the times we spent working together?'

Shadow turned towards Maria, looking to be concentrating; he suddenly disappeared, presumably after using chaos control.

'Has..anyone asked you anything?' Robotnik suddenly asked after Shadow was warped away. 'How did he do it..how did he bring you back?'

Maria ignores Eggman`s question as she slowly turns her head to him with a sad look,"Why did he leave...?"

'Because he's a-'

Before he could finish his sentence, Shadow suddenly warped back into existence, right where he was standing. Rather roughly, he shoved a blue chaos-emerald at Robotniks stomach, then stated. "Good bye."

Wrapping an arm around Maria, leading her off. 'Good bye, Shadow, and you too dearest Maria!'

Who knows what the self proclaimed "brilliant" genius could have been devising to use with the emerald, Shadow only waving once behind him.

Maria goes with Shadow and tells Eggman goodbye with a wave.

Robotnik suddenly flew off, over-joyed to have finally gotten his hands on a chaos emerald. "A word to the wise.." Shadow suddenly started to speak, looking over to Maria. "He is your brother..yes..but he's also power-hungry and manipulative of people.."

"Are you sure?"

Maria looks back where Eggman is flying off to,"How could someone in my family do bad things?"

"..He seeks world domination, Maria.. so long as it doesn't get in our way, I don't really care anymore..not that I really ever did."

Looking on to the path; although Shadow was technically of the heroic and good side, his stances on a lot of things were very neutral and, by what some might say, selfish.

"I can`t imagine why he would want to rule the world. This planet is just fine and beautiful as it is."

"..He loves robotics, he wants more industrialization. More experiments, a vast army..a fleet of ships under his command."

Looking upwards, northwards. "I'm surprised GUN didn't attack -him-."

Clenching his righ fist, lost in thought for a few moments. "..You nevermind all that, Maria. We're fine on our own.."

He seems pretty irritated right now and Maria has the feeling if they continue to talk about this subject that his irritation will just grow. She hates seeing Shadow unhappy. She nods her head to nonverbally confirm Shadow`s last statement.

It was a long time that he just walked along-side her, he looked back to her and asked sincerely. "..I can take you to the forest chao-garden, or we can leave the ruins now.. There isn't much else here except Angel-Island and, a few dangerous places.."

Maria puts her index finger to her cheek as she thinks it over,"Um...I`ll let you choose this time."

"Are you sure..? Alright..I'll introduce you to Knuckles before we go." Suddenly attempting to lift her up in one attempt, she could tell he was preparing to run off.

Knuckles? Sounds like one of the mobster types. But if Shadow is willing to introduce them, it can`t be too dangerous. Maria wraps her arms around Shadow`s neck as he picks her up.

Suddenly rushing off, the surroundings melted past her, they were traveling so fast as Shadow wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. The sun was still high in the sky, it was a beautiful day, about noon; and then, she saw it. A floating island with a lone path-way leading up to it, Shadow rushing upwards without giving a second thought. It was full of ruins, lush green grass, but the main source of interest was what would appear to her as a giant chaos emerald, emerald green, spinning slowly like a top.

Maria`s eyes widen at the sight of the Master Emerald. She has seen the regular chaos emeralds but never the Master one,"A giant chaos emerald?"

"That's the Master Chaos Emerald..it dwarfs the others in power and strength.."

He spoke, suddenly skidding to a halt; and there, she could see a red echidna sitting in front of it, facing in their direction. His eyes were closed, he seemed to be meditating..He looked very familiar to the large statues they had seen just earlier.

At first she doesn`t take notice to the echidna as she is absorbed in the Master Emerald,"Oh it`s so pretty..."

"Yeah..I thought you'd like to see it." Looking it over a few times, he looked down at Knuckles, then to her. "That's Knuckles..he defends the master-emerald."

Stepping over towards Knuckles, he waved a hand in front of his face. "..Knuckles.. Knuckles.. It's as if he's asleep.."

Maria steps around Knuckles and comes up to the Master Emerald, a little entranced by seeing something so magnificent. She lifts up a hand and lays it on the emerald. It feels glass smooth like the normal chaos emeralds. Maria smiles at this,"It`s fantastic..."

"...?" Looking up at Maria, he finds it odd that she takes such an interest in it, stepping up beside her. "It's so large and so powerful..yeah, it is fantastic, but like the emeralds a double edged sword.."

It almost felt as if the emerald was drawing her closer, despite her touching it. There was an underlying corruptive power at work here..

Maria turns to Shadow,"Double-edged sword? What bad could come of it?"

She looks back at the emerald and withdraws her hand from it.

"It can be used for those power-hungry enough to utilize its power.. " Looking to her. "..You were amazed by its beauty, and you probably noticed its power.."

Maria turns back to Shadow with a smile,"Yes, it`s power is kind of emitting from it rather strongly."

"..." Setting a hand on it. "..I could have probably used this to have revived you.." Suddenly, Knuckles fell flat on his back, but was still asleep. "...?"

Maria turns around quickly at hearing Knuckles fall over. Her eyes quirk at the snoozing echidna,"For a guardian, he isn`t doing his job very well..."

She turns back to Shadow,"So you would be able to use this emerald like how you use the normal ones?"

"He'd usually be running at us and making sure we weren't here to take it..and, yes, I ca-" Suddenly, a portal warped out of nowhere not three feet from the master emerald. Shadow knelt down slightly, getting in front of Maria. "...?!"

Maria looks on to the portal opening with a concerned look, wondering what is going on.

Shadow cautiously approached the portal, standing inches away from it. Observing it thoroughly, he looked around, as if expecting something more to happen.

Jet positioned himself right behind Shadow, ready to shove him in unison with Wave, who would more than likely be pushing Maria inside. He looked over to her, giving her a malicious grin and a nod.

Wave gives Jet a wink and lifts her hands to get ready for the shove. She steps silently up behind Maria and shoves her into the portal as quickly as she can,"Buh-bye!"

Suddenly, Jet shoved Shadow into the portal, adding. "Seeya, wouldn't wanna be ya. Have fun on the other-side."

Suddenly nodding to Storm, who proceeded to lift up the Master Emerald; it was all a big heist!
