Once again, as a reminder, do not make any editing or corrections to this, do not point to me of any mistakes. I will not make corrections. I`m leaving this mostly as is of what it was when Tojo and I rped this out. We both have different rp styles so expect there to be some inconsistencies in things such as apostrophes and tenses.

Shadow helped show Maria around Station Square, taking her down main-street. There was the burger-shop, the antique shop, jewelry and clothing stores, and a small movie-theatre. Further still was a government building, but it was currently closed down. A young girl was looking at a realistic-looking statue in front of the burger shop, amused.

"..Sonic used to come here a lot. A girl-hedgehog named Amy lives around here as well."

Maria seems amused,"More hedgehogs like you?"

"Yes..a little. She's all pink, and she loves Sonic, but Sonic doesnt seem to have the same feelings right now."

Shrugging slightly,"Feeling hungry?"

"Mmm, yes, actually."

"There's the burger shop. I guess we could try one each.."

Walking her over down the street, he received a few stares here and there of people who remembered him. Making his way inside, the clerk oddly enough didn't seem to mind,"Hey, how's it going. What can I get ya?"

"..Two ham-burgers with fries, and two cups of water."

Slowly turning towards Maria,"Anything else you wanted?"

Maria shakes her head,"No, that is fine."

Shadow nodded to the clerk at this point.

"Alright, go ahead and take a seat and I'll bring it right out for ya."

Shadow sat down at a nearby booth, looking out the window,"Liking your visit so far, Maria?"

Maria looks at Shadow,"Yes, I like it here very much."

"That's great. After this, we'll get you that better dress, and then I'll show you around."

Their food came rather quickly; two burgers, two fries, and two glasses of ice water. Shadow started to munch on his burger, yet he never took his eyes off hers.

Maria smiles as she takes up her burger as the first item she`ll eat,"Sure. It`ll be lots of fun."

She eats her food at a steady pace, not rushing herself.

Shadow didn't speak during their dinner, just periodically looking outside to watch as the cars went by, looking back to her,"I know what will make you happier.." Raising his right hand for the check.

"I'll take this whenever you're ready." the clerk Setting the bill on the table. Shadow sets the correct amount near the plates.

Maria looks at Shadow after drinking more of her water and seems curious,"What would make me happier?"

"The chao garden..I forgot all about it. And then there is Twinkle Park; I can drive you around an amusement park. And we can even watch a movie.."

Looking outside as he got up and led her out, looking around, as if looking around for Amy.

Sure enough, Amy comes bounding up to Shadow and Maria with a shopping bag in hand. She energetically approaches the two of them,"Wow! Shadow! Hi! I haven`t seen you around in a long time!"

A few people looking on would find Amy`s behaviour towards Shadow rather odd.

"..I knew it." Shadow spoke quietly, coughing a few times as he adjusted to the sudden burst of interaction,"Hello, Amy..I wanted to introduce you to someone."

Gesturing towards Maria,"This is Maria..Maria, this is Amy."

Looking over Amy a few times,"..Has Sonic been around?"

Amy puts a hand on her hip and her eyes shift upward as she thinks about it,"The last time I saw Sonic was yesterday running around on the highway."

Rouge pops up what seems like out of nowhere and is also carrying a shopping bag,"There you are, Amy, I was wondering where you took off to-Oh, Shadow. Hey! Who`s your friend there?"

At seeing Rogue, a mixture of "pleasant" and unpleasant memories filling his head,"Ah, hello..this is Maria. Maria, this is Rogue.."

Getting the introductions out of the way, he just looked over Amy and Rouge in silence for a few moments.

Maria gives them a friendly wave,"Hi."

Rouge puts her hands on her hips and leans forward towards Maria,"Ahhhh, so you`re the girl that`s been driving Shadow crazy this whole time."

Maria`s smile drops,"Crazy?"

Rouge lifts her hand knowingly,"Oh yeah. Everything he was doing had some link to you. 'Maria would want this,' 'Maria would like that.' He went absolutely bonkers at times-"

Shadow, seeing Marias smile drop, suddenly spoke up,"That's..enough.. You're over-exaggerating, it wasn't really like that.."

Shadow started up, looking over towards Maria to try and "set things straight.","..She's blowing it out of proportions..it wasn't really like I was..insane or anything."

Amy puts a hand over her mouth to hide her smile and tries to prevent herself from tittering. Rouge notices that she has pressed a button of Shadow`s and gets a sly smirk,"Oh no? Then how come you-"

Amy waves off Rouge,"No more, Rouge. We shouldn`t push him too much."

Amy looks at Shadow,"So how did you do it, Shadow? I mean, I thought you said that GUN had shot her years ago."

"Urgh.."

Suddenly putting his hand to his forehead, closing his eyes as Rogue went on. As Amy suddenly asked the question, though, he paused and went into silence for a long time,"..I managed to revive her."

Looking over towards Maria; she was healthy as could be.

Amy seems to be excited over it,"Wow! Really?"

Rouge is less enthusiastic than Amy but equally impressed,"Wow, Shadow, no one ever thought it was possible."

Rouge looks at Maria again,"And everything is ok?"

Maria smiles with her hands clasped behind her back,"Oh yes, I feel just fine. In fact, better than what I was before."

"Y-yeah..It..wasn't easy, and it took a long time."

Looking off as he scratched a few of his quills, remembering back; he still had a few bandages on, some of which were wrapped around wounds that were already healed.

"..But now things are looking up..might even find a real place to live now that she's back."

Amy continues her friendly attitude towards Shadow,"That`s so great to hear, Shadow! That would be so much better for you."

"Yes.."

Looking back to them now, suddenly a flood of thoughts entering his head; changing the subject, he asked,"..So what have you two been up to, besides shopping.."

Amy puts one hand over top of her wrist on her other hand and looks to the sky with a sigh,"Ohhh I`m still trying to get Sonic to go to the beach with me but he keeps refusing. It`s not like I would drag him out into the water or anything."

Maria tilts her head to the side,"Sonic doesn`t like water?"

"Nah, he can`t swim."

"Oh, that would make sense."

"..I don't understand why he never tries to learn."

Shadow mumbled to himself, looking around and behind him, as if he were being watched,"..I feel like a big target standing out here, can we go some-place else?"

Rouge looks at the staring people,"Well...I have other things I need to do anyway."

Amy lifts her shopping bag happily,"Yeah! I have to get these new clothes home."

"..We'll..be in the city for a few days. We'll be staying at the hotel so..I'll run into you all later."

Raising his right hand in a slight wave, as he looked back to Maria, making a small-smile.

Maria smiles back at Shadow. Amy starts walking off and waves to Shadow and Maria,"Ok, see ya!"

Rouge walks off in her normal manner and gives a more feminine wave to the two of them,"Have fun, you two."

"..." *Shadows expression changed slightly at Rouge's comment, just nodding once in her direction. Taking Marias hand, he just silently walked through town..until he reached the hotel,"I'd like to..book a room for two for a few nights."

"And who will this room be under, sir?"

"Shadow..Shadow the Hedgehog."

"Very well, Mr. Hedgehog.. sign here, please."

Signing the book, he nodded, and was given two keys; one he gave to Maria.

"Enjoy!"

It was afterwards that he took Maria to the elevator, taking them to the upper-most floor. There, they found themselves in the chao-garden. Little chaos wandered the garden, the textile floor; to the left was a fountain and a pool where they could swim.

"Oh!"

Maria clasps her hands together as she looks among the varieties of the chaos. The Arc had some chao that they were doing research and experiments on. She was often caught by the scientists taking the chaos out of their cages and playing with them. She sits down on the ground as a neutral chao comes her way. When it gets close enough, Maria pats the chao on it`s head. It stops in front of her and rocks side to side as it enjoys being petted.

Shadow knelt down beside her, watching this showing of compassion, smiling gently as she enjoyed herself,"I thought you'd enjoy a place like this."

He spoke as he sat down, leaning back slightly; he watched as the chaos wandered around and did as they wished. A few were animal-like, and there were numerous small toys lying around,"Maybe you could even have one later as a pet.."

Maria giggles a bit at the chao`s display of enjoyment. She shifts her eyes to Shadow for a moment with a smile. When a purple chao flies past her, she redirects her sight to watching the chao fly,"I would love to have one."

"We'll find one in the mystic-ruins garden, and when we..get a place to live and all."

Dreaming big as he thought to himself, about their future together. Closing his eyes, he lay down, arms folded behind his back, thinking for a while,"And then you can show it animals and..give it crystals."

Maria begins to give a gentle scratching under the chao`s chin. The chao leans into her hand and closes it`s eyes.

It was a long while later that Shadow suddenly got up, looking over to Maria,"What would you like to do now, Maria? Anything special on your mind?"

Maria turns her head to look at Shadow and gives a sheepish smile,"Well, I think I should have more clothes."

She looks at her dress,"I can`t wear the same one everyday."

"..That sounds reasonable."

Nodding a few times, getting up, offering her his hand once more,"Anything for you, Maria. Anything for you.."

Probably for the first time, Maria diverts her eyes from Shadow though her smile remains on her face. Then her hand takes his and her eyes shift back to looking at him as she is assisted to her feet.
